Ancient Free and Accepted Masons (AF&AM)

There are several benefits to becoming a Mason, and the advantages can be different for each person. All Masons strive to become a better man. Here are several a reasons to consider:

· By joining Freemasonry, you become part of ancient tradition that spans centuries. You will feel affiliated to a lively, growing, and spiritually uplifting organization of men.

· You will partake the same values of the great men who founded the US. These men believed in the brotherhood of man and the ideals expressed in the United States Constitution. Freemasonry is built upon the philosophy of Brotherly Love (the Golden Rule), Relief (Charity), and Truth (Honesty).

· Masons seek self-improvement and also to help others. Masons give freely of themselves and ask for nothing in return. Each day Masons give more than $2 Million to relieve suffering. Yes, EACH day! This satisfaction is hard to express, but it has truly a positive affect on you.

· Masons come from all walks of life. They represent all creeds and cultures. Men of all faiths are welcome.

· You are apt to develop new and lasting friendships and broaden your circle of friends. No matter where you travel, it’s good to know there are brothers you can depend on and trust.

Membership

Why Join?

The Lodge welcomes qualified men who are interested in joining to become a member of a Fraternity whose members and principles have shaped our country and our history. You must seek admission of your own accord because we cannot compel anyone to join. Therefore, you must ask a member to sponsor your application.

The process for becoming a Mason is managed at the Lodge level. The first step towards joining is to contact a Lodge that you would like to have consider you for membership.

Please email our Secretary, William Hanley to have an application sent to you. Be sure to include your phone number, mailing address, and your name in your email. He is very prompt in replying.

Or

Attend a free dinner on the second Wednesday of the month. Arrive at 6:00 PM to meet several Masons and enjoy a pleasurable dinner with us.

How do I  join?

 

 

The Lodge welcomes qualified masons who are interested in joining Washington Lodge. If you are a member of another lodge in good standing, you can seek affiliation with Washington Lodge.
